The Epic of Gilgamesh is the story everybody has heard of and almost nobody has actually read, and it is three thousand lines long, so we are taking three nights over it. Tonight is the first: the wall of Uruk, a king who was too much for his own city, a wild man made out of clay and raised by gazelles, a wrestling match in a doorway that turns into the deepest friendship in ancient literature, and the long road to the cedar forest and the guardian who lived in it. A slow, calm 3 hour sleep story to help you fall asleep and stay asleep.
Settle in, close your eyes, and let it drift over you. The pacing is slow, the voice is soft, and the music never spikes. You do not have to follow it. You do not have to remember any of it in the morning.
